Family Ministry | A Day of Consecration

All of the family is asked to take a day off from work and dedicate the day as a holy day to seek the Lord our God with all of your heart, mind, soul and Spirit.

Reading Assignment:  1 Peter

Fasting, Prayer, Repentance, Refreshing:

What the blood of animals could not do, the Blood of Jesus Christ our Lord was poured out once for all of our sins.  

Ways to Fast and Self Deny on your day of consecration.

Matthew 6:17-18 | Instructions:  

But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face that you be not seen of men to fast but the Father who is in secret; and the Father who sees in secret shall reward you.

1. Repent and do not ever say it again in repentance, even on another day, beleiving and receiving forgiveness through the Blood of Jesus

2. Fast/Do not eat

3. Fast/Do not engage in sexual pleasure

Isaiah 58:6-7

1. Do forgive and let those who owe you go free

2. Do give your bread to the hungry

3. Do allow those who need shelter to enter into your home

"Seek God while you can, Call out while He is near.  Let the wicked give up their ways,

The sinful, their plans; Let each one turn back to God, so as to be pardoned;

To our God, Who freely forgives."
